The Process

Three steps. No surprises.

i.

We Talk

Tell me what you take, who your doctors are, and what you can comfortably spend each month. About 15 minutes by phone or Zoom.

ii.

I Compare

I run plans across every carrier I represent and bring you the two or three that actually fit your situation. No upselling. No nonsense.

iii.

You Decide

Want to enroll? I handle the paperwork. Want to think about it? Take your time. I'm here when you're ready — and every year after.

[ Real client testimonial goes here. After your first 5 enrollments, ask each client for a 2–3 sentence quote you can use, with their first name and city. ]

— First Name, City, TX
To do: Replace this placeholder with a real testimonial. Stone Oak Health Insurance Experts ranks well partly because of authentic Google reviews — this is your highest-leverage missing piece.
What I Help With

Coverage that matches your life — not the other way around.

Part C

Medicare Advantage

All-in-one plans bundling hospital, medical, and often prescription coverage. Many include dental, vision, and hearing benefits with $0 monthly premiums.

Medigap

Medicare Supplement

Pairs with Original Medicare to cover deductibles and copays. Best for people who want maximum flexibility and to see any doctor that takes Medicare.

Part D

Prescription Drug Plans

Drug costs vary wildly between plans. I'll review your prescriptions and find the formulary that saves you the most over a full year.

Add-ons

Dental, Vision & Hearing

Original Medicare doesn't cover routine dental, vision, or hearing. I'll help you find affordable standalone plans or bundle them in.

Protection

Life Insurance

Term, whole life, and final expense options to protect your family without overpaying for coverage you don't actually need.

Income

Annuities

Guaranteed income products that turn savings into reliable monthly payments you can't outlive in retirement.

Mark Steinberg
About Mark

A Texan helping Texans navigate Medicare.

I've been in the insurance business for more than twenty years. In that time, I've watched a lot of people sign up for the wrong Medicare plan — not because they were careless, but because nobody actually walked them through it. Medicare has too many moving parts to figure out alone, and most agents are too busy chasing the next sale to stick around after enrollment.

That's why I do this differently. As an independent agent, I'm not tied to any one insurance company. I work for you. That means I compare plans across all the major carriers and give you honest advice about what fits your situation — even when the answer is "stay with the plan you already have."

I'm based in San Antonio and licensed across the country, but my heart is in the Hill Country. Most of my clients are right here in Texas — San Antonio, Boerne, Bulverde, Spring Branch, New Braunfels, Fredericksburg. We do everything by phone or video, so you never have to leave your house.

Common Questions

The questions people always ask first.

Your Initial Enrollment Period starts three months before the month you turn 65 and ends three months after — a seven-month window total. If you miss it and don't have other qualifying coverage, you may pay late penalties for the rest of your life. If you're approaching 65, even by a few months, let's talk now so you don't miss it.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is an all-in-one plan from a private insurer. Many have $0 premiums, network restrictions, and built-in extras like dental and vision. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) works alongside Original Medicare and pays the share Medicare doesn't cover — higher monthly premium, but you can see any doctor that takes Medicare with very predictable out-of-pocket costs. Which is better depends entirely on your health, doctors, and budget. That's the conversation we'll have.
No. My services are free to you. I'm paid by the insurance carrier when you enroll in a plan, and the commission is the same whether you go through me or directly through the carrier. You don't pay extra for using an agent — you just get someone in your corner.
If you have group health coverage through an employer with 20 or more employees, you can usually delay Part B without penalty. But you generally want to enroll in Part A since it's free for most people. The rules differ for smaller employers, and there are real traps with HSAs. Call me before making any moves — this is where people make expensive mistakes.
Yes, but only during specific windows. The Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7) is when most people review and switch. There's also the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31) for people already on a Medicare Advantage plan. Special Enrollment Periods exist for life events like moving or losing other coverage. I review every client's plan each year automatically — no surprises.
Most of my clients are right here in Texas, but I'm licensed in 21 states. We can do everything by phone or video. If you're in a state I'm not licensed in, I'll help you find a trusted colleague or point you to a reliable resource. I won't waste your time.
